Bybit in Germany: Bybit EU GmbH, FMA authorisation and code 75062 (October 2026)
German residents sign up with Bybit through Bybit EU, the platform run by Bybit EU GmbH in Vienna. Its authorisation comes from Austria’s FMA, not from BaFin. ESMA’s register lists Germany among the countries where it may serve clients. Below: what that means, the fees and payment methods Bybit EU publishes for Germany, and how our referral code 75062 is applied.
Short answer: Ist Bybit in Deutschland erlaubt?
Bybit EU GmbH is authorised by the FMA in Austria. ESMA’s interim register lists Germany among its host states, and Germany is not on Bybit EU’s list of restricted nationalities. BaFin describes EU passporting: authorised providers may serve clients across the EU after prior notification, without a separate German authorisation. If you live in Germany and are not a national of a listed country, Bybit EU is the Bybit site meant for you. There is one button on this page, in the sign-up section below.
Who serves German residents: Bybit EU GmbH
The FMA’s announcement names Bybit EU GmbH, commercial register no. FN 636180i, and says the authorisation was granted by administrative decision dated 28 May 2025. The services listed are custody and administration of crypto-assets for clients, exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, placing of crypto-assets and transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients.
Bybit EU GmbH holds a MiCA CASP authorisation from FMA (Austria), covering users in the EEA. The ESMA register row we read on 20 October 2026 gives Austria as the home state, the FMA as the competent authority and 28 May 2025 as the authorisation date; Malta is not among the host states. A licence belongs to one legal entity. The same brand name on another domain says nothing about that entity, so check which company the terms name when you register.
Is Bybit allowed in Germany? What BaFin says
BaFin’s page on crypto-asset services states that authorised crypto-asset providers may provide their services across borders throughout the EU (EU passporting) following prior notification, without applying for a separate authorisation in each member state. The ESMA register row for Bybit EU GmbH, which we read on 20 October 2026, includes DE in the host states. By our check on 20 October 2026 we found no BaFin warning about Bybit EU GmbH.
BaFin did publish a warning on 30 November 2023 about the websites bybitprofit.com and bybitprofit.io, which it said operate without the required authorisation. These are not Bybit EU. Before you upload any document, check that the address in your browser is the one the exchange itself publishes and that the terms name Bybit EU GmbH. That is how to tell you are on the real regulated entity.
How to sign up from Germany with code 75062
Bybit EU’s referral programme is open to users onboarded to Bybit EU and residing in the EEA, except Malta. Germany is in the EEA and is not Malta. Referral relationships are site-specific, so a code from another Bybit site is not expected to attach on Bybit EU.
We may receive a commission from Bybit if you register through this link. It does not change our ranking or this page’s facts.
The link applies our code, 75062, on Bybit EU. This page states no bonus amount and promises no reward; whatever applies is set by Bybit’s current terms. Our rankings are independent of whether an exchange pays us. The Bybit overview and the Bybit referral code page explain the other Bybit sites.
Fees on Bybit EU
Bybit EU’s Trading Fee Structure article says that from 5 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC the platform moved to a single unified fee structure, with one rate across the account. The first VIP 0 row of the fee table lists 0.25%, with no separate maker and taker rates; other rows of the table carry different rates, so the rate you pay depends on your own account tier and volume. We read it on 20 October 2026; the article shows an update on 5 October 2026. We do not publish the volume thresholds for the tiers, because we did not confirm them. Fee schedules change, so read the live page before you trade. Trading fees are not the only cost to check. We did not verify withdrawal or network fees for Germany, and this page does not state them.
Identity verification (KYC)
Bybit EU states that all EEA users must complete Standard Verification to access its products and services. Advanced Verification is optional. The help article we read was last updated on 25 March 2026. Follow the steps shown in your own account; we did not confirm which documents are accepted or how long a review takes.
Depositing euros from Germany
Bybit EU’s Fiat Deposit FAQ lists Germany among the regions where Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay payments are supported. Its table of unsupported methods lists Zen.com and BLIK for Germany. Bybit EU GmbH charges zero exchange deposit fees for fiat deposits, while an external payment provider may apply its own fees. Identity verification is required first. The FAQ says the methods you see depend on your country and on provider availability, so open the fiat deposit page in your account before you transfer money. We read the article on 20 October 2026; it shows an update on 3 September 2026.
If the referral code did not apply (75062)
- Check that you registered on bybit.eu. Referral relationships are site-specific, and cross-site referrals are not supported.
- Check your country of residence on the account: the programme covers the EEA except Malta.
- Read Bybit EU’s help article How to add and check a registered affiliate code; its conditions apply and we do not restate them.
- Contact Bybit EU support with the sign-up date and the email of the account. Do not send passwords or identity documents in the first message.
We cannot change a referral relationship on your behalf.
Where Bybit EU is not available
Bybit EU’s list, last updated on 7 May 2026, says the platform is not available to nationals of 23 listed countries and territories, including Belarus, Malta, Russia and the United States, and not available to stateless individuals. Germany is not on it. Bybit EU also says services are not currently available to residents of Malta. The list is by nationality, so check yours. If the exchange tells you during sign-up that it cannot serve you, do not look for ways around it; choose another exchange that serves you openly.
Alternative in the EEA
OKX Europe Limited (MFSA, Malta) is in the same ESMA register; see our OKX page. Binance is not in ESMA’s register, and we show no button for it.
What this page does not cover
- German tax rules for crypto income; we have no official source for them yet.
- Withdrawal fees, limits and VIP tiers above VIP 0.
- Bybit EU’s derivatives offer for Germany, which we did not verify.
- The size of any referral bonus.
Each will be added when we can attach an official source and a check date.
How we keep this page up to date
Every statement in the facts table has a source and a check date. See How we verify and our editorial policy. This guide is general information, not financial, legal or tax advice. Crypto-assets are volatile, and you can lose the money you put in. Only use money you can afford to lose.
